Making science better.
We are a startup in Nuremberg providing turnkey pilot production lines for printed photovoltaics including printing, structuring, backend and complete module processes. The founders around Dr. Tobias Stubhan accumulate more than 70 years of experience in printing and upscaling photovoltaics to efficient, stable modules with large scale production-compatible processes. We target customers that already work with printed photovoltaics or would like to start producing the next generation of solar energy.
Our measurement equipment, laboratory robots, and pilot production facilities enable materials researchers around the world to accelerate development on key energy transition technologies from photovoltaics to fuel cells to batteries.
-Managing Director, Dr. Tobias Stubhan
Dr. Tobias Stubhan studied physics at the Karlsuhe Institute of Technology and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm from 2004 to 2010. Between 2010 and 2014, he completed his doctorate in materials science in the field of printed photovoltaics at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen and the University of Arizona in Tucson (USA). In 2015, he founded Automatic Research GmbH, a startup for measurement and laboratory equipment for printed electronics research. This was followed in 2018 by the company SCIPRIOS GmbH - "SCIence of PRInting Of Semiconductors" which focuses on laboratory robots as well as printing, laser and lamination machines for materials research.
